Self Locking Explanation of Electric Actuator in Linear Motion Concept May 15 , 2021

Linear actuators are a type of actuator that convert rotational motion in motors into linear or straight push/pull movements. Linear actuators are ideal for all types of applications where tilting, lifting, pulling or pushing with pounds of force are required. Electric linear actuators are often the preferred solution when you need simple, safe and clean movement with accurate precision and smooth motion control.

Wide Use - Our linear actuator with durable stroke ideal for Various light industrial applications massage sofa, recliner, TV lifter, lifting table, hood, fan blades, cabinets, window opener, robotics, home automation, etc.

Self locking conditions---4situations

1. static self locking , without load vibrations , not running (coefficient<0.35)

2. Dynamic self locking

With a load opposite the motion , actuator not running (coefficient<0.3)

With a load positive the motion , actuator not running (coefficient<0.25)

3. Uncertain self locking , with direct efficiency values between 0.35 and 0.55 , the actuator is an uncertain self locking condition .

4. Back driving , higher than 0.55 , actuator is never self locking (coefficient<0.55) , please consult the min , acting force which can make actuator move .
